At the Annual General Meeting held on Wednesday 4th June, the members elected a new committee for the 2014-2015 financial year. The committee is now comprised of the following people:
President - Dimos Stefanopoulos
Vice-President - Tony Abboud
Secretary - Kevin Noel
Treasurer - Tony Tigani
Director - To Be Advised
On May 14th, the committee endorsed the introduction of a new electronic membership portal, which allows the on-line management of member records, events and the club's accounts.
The portal allows for online membership applications and renewals to processed and paid, and enables members to review and update their own records, as well as viewing the status of their accounts. It also provides a closed forum in which members can raise and discuss issues.
The system will be fully operational by the end of June, and members will be provided with logon details shortly.
On 14th May, the committee endorsed changes to membership and fee structures to take effect immediately.
The new simplified structure provides for individual membership, and a new family membership which provides for 2 adults and 2 children living under the same roof. Individual membership for 2014-2015 is set at $30, while family membership is $60. The non-attendance fee remains at $60.
At the May General Meeting, the club unanimously voted in a new Constitution, which covers the framework in which the club is governed and operated. You can review the document here.
As part of the Australia Day Dance Party event, The Wanderers are holding a Show and Shine, sponsored by Top Class Body Repairs, at Todd Street, Port Adelaide on Saturday 25th January. There is a $10 Entry fee for judging in the 50's, 60's 70's and Hot Rod categories, and a gold coin donation to enter the People's Choice category.
Trophies are up for grabs in five categories, but if you would just like to show off your car on the day and not be judged, we just ask for a gold coin donation.
